Frigorifico General Pico S.A. is a company dedicated to the production and processing of beef by-products in its two slaughterhouses located in the Humid Pampa region.

Our products come from official establishments:

Company History

From the beginning

1981

Founded

Frigorifico General Pico S.A. begins activities in the city of General Pico, La Pampa Province.

2004

New ownership

The current owners acquire the slaughterhouse and begin their management of the company.

2011

Air logistics

Frigorifico General Pico positions itself among the world's largest exporters in airfreight meat logistics.

2013

Strategic plan

The company incorporates a strategic plan to increase sales, production volumes and open new international markets.

2015

Quality cuts

Begins operating with selected high quality cuts for local and international markets.

2017

New markets

Consolidation of new export markets and segmentation: increased value added to production.

2018

Ohra Pampa launch

Launch of Ohra Pampa, the first Argentine Consistent Selection brand, with an exclusive classification protocol.

2019

Expansion

Plant expansion and increase of productive capacity to 1,200 heads/day. Opening of new markets.

2020

Certifications

HQB High Quality Beef and Animal Welfare certification. Launch of the Meat Club and Ohra Pampa online store.

2021–2022

Global expansion

New markets (China, USA, Israel) and international BRCGS Food Safety certification — Plant 2792.

2023

New boning room

New boning and field room. International launch of Ohra Pampa and opening of new markets.
